Meizu m3s Review, Specs and Price in Nigeria

Following the unveiling of smartphones by Oneplus and Xiamo, fellow Chinese phone manufacturers Miezu did not want to be left out, and have unveiled the m3s, demonstrating in the process exactly how much you can cram inside of a phone for very little, reported Techvorm.

The m3s comes subsequent to the release of previous smartphones under the Miezu brand: The Miezu m3; Miezu m3e and the Miezu m3 max. After considering the price of this smartphone one might quickly write-it-off, calling it a budget device with no juice but a short acquaintance with the phone’s capabilities and specifications would change all that mentality.

As has become the recent trend in Chinese budget phones, the m3s features a metal and glass exterior, with a fingerprint sensor sitting below the 5-inch, 1,280 x 720p resolution display featuring curved glass on the sides. The display is also accompanied by a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, with a 13MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture found around back.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY

The Miezu m3s comes with a 5-inch high-definition screen that blows you away immediately thanks to it’s sophisticated full lamination technology and 16M colours. It’s 2.5D glass design brings you visual joy and a great feeling in the hand. It has a resolution of 720×1280 pixels HD (294 PPL) and is also of the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen type. And did I forget to mention that this so-called budget device comes with a fingerprint sensor like all those big Samsung and LG phones floating around. Yes it does!!! It does come with an mTouch 2.1 fingerprint sensor located around it’s home button.

MEMORY AND PERFORMANCE

The Miezu m3s phone comes with double storage variants, the first with 2GB of LPDDR3 and 16GB of eMMC 5.0 internal storage, and the second with 3GB of LPDRR3 RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.0 internal storage. The best part is that both variants come with microSD card slots, allowing you to expand the default storage capacity up to 128GB. In other words if the 32GB of native storage does not live up to your expectations, the microSD card slot gives you up to an additional 128GB to play with. It also comes with an octa-core MediaTek MT6570 processor with an upper clock speed of 1.5GHz runs its operations underneath with the help of a Mali T860 GPU.

CAMERA

For capturing those magical moments The Miezu m3s comes with an outstanding rear camera of 13 megapixel f/2.2 aperture, 0.2-second fast PDAF, dual-tone LED flash. It’s camera features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection. Lest I forget it comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera, f/2.0 aperture, for taking all your wonderful selfies.

CONNECTIVITY

The Miezu m3s comes with a hybrid dual nano-SIM slot and supports the 4G VoLTE function; Bluetooth is of the v4.0. stock; Bluetooth Profiles are A2DP, LE; Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz) dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot; GPS A-GPS, GLONASS; And lastly it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.

SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE

Unfortunately, the m3s runs Meizu’s Flyme OS 5.1, a heavy software skin that covers up Android 5.1 Lollipop — a shame, since Android N is right around the corner and Lollipop is a bit long in the tooth at this point. The Meizu M3s features a smooth and delicate metal body, which was accomplished by using 360° sand blasting. It’s sophisticated anodizing technology packs the Meizu M3s with its beautiful colors – silver, grey, gold and rose gold.

BATTERY

The 3,020mAh battery hopefully ensures an all-day relationship with the phone.
