BlackBerry Will Soon Launch 3 New Smartphones

The BlackBerry does seem willing to recover their representativeness and a good share of the mobile market. Despite the low sales of its first smartphone with Android, the Priv, the company is preparing to launch no less than three new devices with the Android operating system, which should reach one per quarter until March 2017.

The rumors came from sources close to the manufacturer, who refused to be identified, but may be considered legitimate due to old statements of the BlackBerry CEO John Chen. Earlier this year, John Chen already affirmed that the company was working to launch two more Android devices, but did not say when we would see.

However, an announcement is yet to be made, the specifications of the smartphones are already leaked. Rumors say that the first to reach the market between July and August will be the Neon. With Snapdragon 517 processor, 3 GB of RAM and 5.2-inch screen while the camera will be 13 megapixels and the front will be 8 megapixels.

The another device BlackBerry Argon specifications are little more robust compared to the BlackBerry Neon, The device would have Snapdragon 820 processor, along with 4GB of memory RAM . The screen would be 5.5 inches and the device would also a biometric sensor, as well as 21-megapixel rear camera and the front one will be 8 megapixels. The launch would be scheduled for October or November.

Finally, the last one to launch was the BlackBerry Mercury, it will be an intermediate device which will have the conventional physical keyboard of the brand, in a touchscreen of 4.5 inches. Inside, it will have Snapdragon 625 processor and 3GB of RAM while the camera will be 18 megapixels and the front one will be 8 megapixels.

The use of Android on their devices being the way found by the company to recover the old relevance in the mobile market, especially in the corporate division. While making it clear that it will continue supporting its own operating system, BlackBerry 10, the company seems more interested in the Google operating system, even with the failure of Priv sales, which had only 600,000 units sold worldwide in the first quarter 2016.

In addition to the statements of John Chen made at the beginning of the year, there is no confirmation that the mentioned models are real, and the same goes for the release dates. However, if the BlackBerry really plans to launch a new smartphone with Android already this month, it is possible that this revelation is at hand. For now, the company did not score any events with the press or discussed about it.

  4. Nobody will buy these devices simply because by the time they will be released into the market, whatsapp won't be available on them thereby making them useless
